K-12 Virtual Journalist Visit Requests

Hoping to schedule visits for multiple classes or sections of the same course?

  • If you are hoping to schedule a visit for multiple sections of the same course or for multiple classes, you will need to fill out a separate request form for each section/period, with a maximum of three sections/periods per semester per school. Sticking to this policy helps us offer our free programming to as many schools as possible.
  • *Depending on scheduling and request volume, we may or may not be able to accommodate multiple sections of the same course, but if not we can certainly record the first session so that all of your students still have access to the visit.

What are your top three dates and times for a visit? Please allow at least two weeks between submitting your request and the first preferred date.

If the journalist you’re interested in isn’t available during any of these times, we’ll reach out to you for more options.

For afterschool / out-of-school time programs in the U.S., virtual visits may fall between 9:00am - 11:00pm EST. Last visits start at 10:00pm.

For all other classes, we can only coordinate virtual visits that fall between 9:00 am - 6:30 pm Eastern Standard Time. Last visits start at 5:30pm EST.

Please include the length of your class time below. 

Please note, if you teach multiple sections/periods of the same course and are hoping for a visit to multiple sections, you’ll need to fill out a separate form for each section.
